If you?ve never transferred music to your iPod then the simplest way is through iTunes. The iTunes software organizes and keeps track of all the music that you have added to it. You can then choose to either move a song to the iPod or you can create what?s known as a sync list which will move all the media on that list to the iPod. You can also use iTunes to download music to your computer. You can get iTunes directly from the Apple website if you didn?t get a CD with your iPod. Your downloaded music will automatically appear in the library window after you?ve downloaded them.

If you want to add music from a CD to your iTunes you will only have to go through a few steps. First, start by putting the CD in your computer. Then you will need to click on the CD icon and click on import CD. This will tell iTunes to automatically rip the CD to your iTunes library. You can then add and change song titles, album covers and other information to make it appear the way you want it to on your iPod.

Finally all you have left to do is to put the music on your iPod. Attach the cord to your iPod and computer. You can choose to make a sync list to add a number of songs to your iPod or you can drag individual songs to the iPod. If you want to put your whole library on your iPod just add everything to the sync list and hit sync.
