Guide In Selecting The Correct Battery Type For Your IPod

The iPod is an entertaining tool of extraordinary capacity. It can do practically anything. Such an interesting device naturally warrants hours and hours of use. This is fine until the battery runs out.

You'll never be bored if you have an iPod with you. With all the functions and nifty apps, it's like a toy that never gets old. If you get tired of the music you have, just download more music; same with games and movies.

But many iPod addicts are accustomed to finding their precious devices completely drain after a while. This can be particularly vexing if you are unable to recharge it anytime soon.

If you visit an Apple store, you can get the battery replaced for a fee. A sky high fee of about $100, that is. Such a high cost makes replacing your battery the official way somewhat of an unviable option.

Of course, if the iPod is new, it is probably still covered by a warranty. If this is the case, Apple will replace your battery free of charge.

There is, of course, another option. If you feel like a handyman, you can try to place the battery yourself. There are a bunch of tutorials on YouTube to assist you and it can be a rather simple task.

Be sure to read the instructions for such an undertaking very carefully before you try it. Replacing an iPod battery is a very delicate procedure, as you can easily damage or scratch the iPod if you aren't careful.

Just choose the proper battery type for your iPod, open the case, disconnect the cable attaching the iPod to your old battery and reconnect the cables to the new battery.
